2018 Night Lights Classes
Join us for an intoxicating class where we learn about the infamous MOSCOW MULE! Where did the name come from? How do you make it? What kind of variations can you make? The class includes cocktail history, shaking, making and tasting! After sipping one of our unique cocktails, you’ll then be given step by step instructions on how to make your own custom boozy concoction.
In this hands-on class you’ll learn the basics of stamping on metal to create personalized jewelry and accessories. We’ll discuss the necessary metalworking tools and materials needed and get right to work practicing the technique. Have fun stamping out meaningful names, dates, or your favorite inspiring or snarky sentiment. You’ll leave with your new pieces ready to wear and the decision to give them as thoughtful custom gifts or to keep for yourself!
Smartphone Photography/Scavenger Hunt:
Want to know the secrets of taking great photos with your smartphone? This class will give you all the basics – from composition to lighting, using photo apps and more. We will explore the features on your smartphone and learn how to set it up to get the best possible images at the highest quality. To top it off, we will send the class on a fun scavenger hunt in the Railyard to capture your own images and put your newfound knowledge to use! Attendees should bring their fully charged smartphones.
Intro to Improv:
Are you a parent who is just "winging it?” Or maybe a professional who has to "go with the flow?" Regardless of your background, this class will help you hone your improvisation skills and use them in your everyday life. You will learn exercises to activate your imagination and build creativity, much-needed tools for every parent who answers the question "why" sixty times a day. Also, you will learn the importance of working with what you are given. This is particularly helpful for professionals that are working with people two fries short of a Happy Meal. We will cover the basic skills for improv AND guarantee you will have a good laugh in the process.
Skip class and enjoy the evening socializing or playing yard games on the rooftop patio!
