Get to know these tuxedoed birds from the southern hemisphere through a variety of projects and activities that combine science, art and fun. Learn about the kinds of penguins and how big they are compared to humans. Discover how penguins survive in extremely cold weather. Activities may include making blubber gloves and learning about insulation, writing a penguin poem and enjoying Arctic-inspired snacks. On Thursday, parents will drop off and pick up at the Lincoln Children’s Zoo for a trip to the Humboldt Penguin Habitat.
