It’s All Greek to Me: Olympus Adventures
Grades Completed: 3-5
Class #720: July 15-19, 9am-12pm
Location: Holmes Elementary
Can you imagine fighting the many-headed Hydra, stealing the Golden Fleece from a fire-breathing dragon, or flying with wings of wax and feathers? If you think you can defeat the Basilisk or the Minotaur, then spend the week on Mt. Olympus exploring the gods and goddesses of Greek myths and legends. Learn about the Trojan War, perform a play, write myths and compete in an Arachne weaving contest. A week-long board-game of By Jove! and standing with Greek Hoplites in an outdoor game called Phalanx are just part of the fun. On Friday, we will enjoy a Greek feast, dressing in tunics and sharing the week’s adventure on Mt. Olympus.
