Camp Descriptions

Ocean Discovery

Camp #806: July 12-16, 9am-12pm (grades K-1)

Location: Holmes Elementary

Let’s go on a deep-sea adventure! Dive in and discover the depths of the ocean. Visit the ocean habitat to learn about creatures that live in this environment. Check out the sand and ocean waves. Get to know the fish, whales, dolphins and sea creatures that swim and survive in these waters—but watch out for sharks! Perform scientific inquiries about water and sand. You’ll have a splashing good time with art, literature, songs and games.

Camp #910: July 12-16, 1pm-4pm Sponsored by CIP (grades 2-3)

Location: Holmes Elementary

Would you like to dive under the deep blue sea with me? In this class, we will explore the primary layers and zones of oceans and investigate the plant and marine life who call it home. Through hands-on activities we will “make waves” as we learn about how people affect this delicate ecosystem.

Taught by Katie Lewallen, LPS Federal Programs K-5 Interventionist
