Online registration update
(Thursday, January 1, 2009)
Dear Bright Lights Friends,
We had a successful launch this week of the new online website. Many folks took advantage of our new registration process. We have over 1,000 registrations and over 1,000 class/camp openings still available. If you have not registered yet for Bright Lights this summer, classes will remain open until they are filled.
Be sure to check the website for class availability. With so many strong teachers and good classes, if one that you want is not available, please consider one of the many other fine alternatives. Our creative teachers offer an amazing variety of summer exploration and learning for your children.
We are keeping up with our mail-in registrations as well. If you choose to mail in your registration, please include alternate classes.
This new registration process happened thanks to the requests from many of our Bright Light families and board members. Local talent, including Firespring and Duey's Computer Service, led this effort.
Thank you to all who have donated. Our tuition charge is $99 and the cost per class is $215. We're able to provide such reduced programming thanks to generous community underwriting. Every donation of $5 or more also helps us keep our costs affordable. A donation can be included in your tuition check or under the "support us" section of the website today!
Thank you for being part of our Bright Lights family. We look forward to seeing you this summer!
PS: Be sure to look at our day camps held at UNL, career camps for grades 6-8: Engineering, TV News & Production, and Architecture. Arne Duncan, the new US Secretary of Education, states: "I would love to get a lot more fifth and sixth grade kids on college campuses. When I grew up, my dad was a college professor, and I was in that environment every day. You feel like you belong; you feel like that's part of who you are."
